Key job responsibilities
In this role, you'll have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
• Design and Delivery: Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable tax technology solutions
• Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of tax reporting data for specific tax jurisdictions, addressing data quality issues, and defining functional requirements for technical development.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with tax teams to enhance efficiency and controller-ship in current processes, educating them on data acquisition for reporting, planning, and controller-ship.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering relationships with the tax, business and engineering teams across Amazon.
• Metrics Development: Support the creation of new metrics to quantify the value of various aspects of tax data.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2+ years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL or ETL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience using very large datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
