The primary functions of an ARS is to receive the items, stow and then pick them from the robotic floor where they are stored and pack them to ship.- Traditional Sortable, Soft Lines (TSSL): TSSL is a type of fulfillment center that handles certain types of products, such as traditional sortables (books, CDs, etc), soft lines (apparel and shoes), custom merchandise, and dangerous goods.- Traditional Non-Sortable (TNS): A TNS FC focuses on items larger than a yellow tote (18"x14"x8") but does not require special handling. Non-Sorts generally have less automation due to larger product. The annual ECM portfolio consists of 10,000+ requests yearly in network, local, pilot and composite changes.
