Key job responsibilities
1. Lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing the development of comprehensive customer data services with built-in privacy controls.
2. Develop and maintain detailed project plans for implementing key privacy components, including a data catalog, approval mechanisms, use case-based permissions, automated audits, and data retention/deletion capabilities.
3. Coordinate with legal, privacy, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulations like DMA, DSA, GDPR, and other relevant laws across different geographical regions and business lines.
4. Collaborate with engineering leads to implement advanced privacy-preserving techniques, such as row-level tagging, consent management, and special handling for specific data types.
5. Manage the integration of the new services with existing Amazon infrastructure like Sandfire, Helis, and Transitive Auth, ensuring data owners maintain control over permissions and usage.
6. Oversee the development of a self-service model with a user-friendly interface to streamline approval, compliance, and baselining processes over time.
7. Establish and track metrics related to privacy compliance, data governance, and the impact of privacy measures on personalization capabilities and business outcomes.
8. Facilitate regular cross-team meetings to address privacy challenges, resolve dependencies, and ensure alignment on privacy-centric development practices.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across various Amazon businesses, educating them on the new privacy capabilities and driving adoption.
10. Create and present comprehensive privacy and compliance documentation.
11. Stay informed about evolving privacy regulations and technological advancements, continuously adapting the project roadmap to maintain compliance and leverage new privacy-preserving technologies.

Customer 360 within Amazon Personalization is an innovative initiative that aims to transform how Amazon understands and serves its customers. We're developing state-of-the-art solutions to unify customer data and insights across multiple business units, enabling more personalized and effective customer experiences.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
