Key job responsibilities
As the Sr TPM, you will collaborate on and execute programs that scale across the entirety of our Worldwide Stores businesses and support thousands of teams worldwide. In your role you will own management of the lifecycle of cross-functional programs, as well as the development of mechanisms and tooling that simplify the way teams build and test experiences that exceed expectations and delight our customers with disabilities. You will be responsible for governing our accessibility policy, defining best practices, driving strategic decisions, and conducting internal as well as external risk assessments across 100+ partner organizations. You will define requirements for program tools that enable our central hub to assess, track, monitor, and report on the current state of accessibility. You will be responsible for driving the technology projects building systems that remove the complexity from stakeholder interaction providing them with clear goals and opportunities for continuous improvement.
The right candidate will possess a strong technical program management background, will have demonstrated strong judgement and communication skills, an ability to articulate a long-term technical vision, and possess a continuous focus on improving process, productivity and scale. You use your technical background and engineering best practices to drive simple and coherent approaches for the architecture and system design of our services and have proven leadership skills aligning a technical team behind your priorities. You are detail oriented with an ability to think outside the box and are driven to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. This means you are able to identify, anticipate, assess, track, and mitigate issues, risks, roadblocks and escalations at multiple levels.
A day in the life
You will lead the projects to architect and design program tools and mechanisms designed to support a large-scale and cross platform environment
You will solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
You will break abstract goals into attainable, measurable work items
You will collaborate with engineering leaders and create program structure to track system-level goals, drive software development and cross-functional dependencies
You will work across partner teams to collect business and program requirements and deliver product specifications to ensure the right results are delivered both for and by partners
You will create, maintain, and communicate project status and metrics to stakeholders that have clear, measurable success criteria
You will Prepare and present business reviews to senior management
You will provide a long-term perspective and context (past, current, and future) for business and technology choices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Functional knowledge of web and mobile accessibility requirements and assistive technologies used by people with disabilities.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
