The US Automotive team is looking for a leader with proven experience in driving supply chain process improvements and thought leadership for our business. As a Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Manager, you will own the end-to-end supply chain for the business. You will have the opportunity to define and execute a supply chain roadmap with several of our largest and most strategic manufacturer and distributor partners. In this role, you will collaborate with teams of Product, Vendor and Customer Service Managers with a goal of maximizing Product Availability, driving Operational Excellence and maintaining a high bar for Customer Experience. You will use data to influence partners, and build scalable systems and processes to optimize our end-to-end supply chain.
Candidates must be highly organized, self-starting and possess strong data management and analytical capabilities. Strong candidates will have hands-on operations or inventory management experience and knowledge in fundamental business principles. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to successfully manage multiple vendor relationships, identify problems and implement solutions. Strong candidates will be able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.


Key job responsibilities
• Identify and deliver improvement opportunities in buying and demand planning.
• Monitor, analyze and own Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as: Out of Stock Rates, Overstock Rates, Inbound Lead Time and Confirmation Rates.
• Share supply chain insights and contribute to business reviews for Senior Leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost structure and profitability, and work with partner teams to execute on system improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of with Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience working with complex data sets
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
- Experience with SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
