The Regulatory Intelligence Safety and Compliance team protects customers from products that are unsafe, illegal, illegally marketed, controversial or otherwise in violation of Amazon's policies while enabling our Selling Partners to offer their broadest selection of safe and compliant products. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Risk Manager to build out a new strategic program that will partner with product experts and industry leaders to identify new or emerging risks to customer trust.

Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate should have strong business, communication, and writing skills, proven ability to drive solutions to mitigate risk, and be capable of working independently in an ambiguous environment.

The successful candidate will also:
- Develop and implement novel solutions to triage and investigate risk reports from product experts
- Partner with external industry leaders and product experts
- Collaborate across cross functional teams – legal, operations, business, finance, data, and tech teams to continuously improve the program
- Deep Dive industry and expert reports of potential emerging risks
- Provide data-driven and actionable insights to senior stakeholders to influence roadmaps and align on solutions
- Plan and conduct periodic business reviews with leadership team
- Embrace the use of data analytics to drive solutions, track improvements and reduce costs to serve
- Manage several projects simultaneously with precision and accuracy
- Develop key metrics and performance indicators to track progress against business objectives and measure results

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
