The role is broad based and will require a strong, independent performer who is motivated to make a big impact in a highly ambiguous environment. The ideal candidate will be strongly analytical, data driven and with proven track record of driving cross functional projects focused around finance, accounting or tax compliance. The candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically, but also execute hands-on operational tasks. The successful candidate will communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Product manager, you will define requirements that are concise with clear measurable success criteria. You will also drive requirements gathering/documentation on the most complex financial integration problem with partner teams (Finance, Accounting and Tax). You will make smart trade offs without compromising on business goals/outcomes and drive appropriate schedules. You will use data to influence business strategy and technical priorities, and escalate when necessary without damaging relationships. You independently represent your products and the product team and are comfortable communicating with business and technical stakeholders and senior executives.
A day in the life
- Work with your stakeholders/customers (Business, Finance, Tax and Accounting) to identify and understand their current and future pain points
- Build and advocate for re-usable technology across Devices and Services
- Deliver products on time with the right feature set, priority and quality
- Evangelize your products and setup mechanisms to drive adoption
- Contribute to organizational product and roadmap planning
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience working with finance, accounting or tax in building solutions to scale financial processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
