The Amazon Devices Business Development organization is looking for a results-oriented, data-driven Sr. Product Manager to support operational excellence and innovation across our Amazon Devices Business Development team.
To be successful in this role, you will have to: 1) build relationships with internal teams and external partners, 2) clearly communicate verbally and in written narrative, 3) learn internal and external partners' unique processes and work with them to drive process improvements, 4) be comfortable operationalizing new initiatives, and 5) enjoy solving problems. The successful candidate will have a curious mind, great attention to detail, and be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task while managing numerous cross functional projects. The role will focus on maintaining high-quality day-to-day business operations while collaborating with technical partners to continuously improve workflows and partnerships, while identifying opportunities for long-term solutions and automation.
As a member of the Business Development Sales Operation (BDSO) team, you will be responsible for managing and developing an operational roadmap for the Amazon Device Portfolio (Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Kindle, Blink, Ring, and eero). This role is critical to the success of the Amazon Devices channel sales and distribution strategy. You will build creative solutions across all of Amazon's exciting devices and services, designing processes for scale and repeatability. You will own the end to end sales operations for Amazon Device strategic partnerships and programs, while advocating for automation to grow the business and advocate for partner/customer needs. This will require you to work cross functionally both internally and externally at the leadership level to drive operationally viable, high volume, device distribution programs. You will develop the long-term channel operational strategy as well as drive short term program execution to fulfill partner/customer needs. You must demonstrate a metrics driven approach to channel governance and a continuous improvement mindset to identify pain points, remediation actions, and drive workflow improvements.

Key job responsibilities
• Workflow Management: Own the execution of defined launch plans across internal and external stakeholder teams including account set up, order management, forecasting, and reporting.
• Automation Solutions: Deep dive current processes and systems to identify areas for automation, identify business requirements, and lead initiatives to implement automation solutions that increase productivity and reduce manual effort.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize internal and external processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Project Management: Develop project tracking mechanisms with an established reporting cadence for communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including: Business Development, Finance, Product, Accounting, and Engineering to complete day-to-day operations and opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, informing strategic decision-making and driving continuous optimization of business operations; deliver reports on the same.
• Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for processes and systems, ensuring that team members are equipped to effectively utilize tools and follow established procedures.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual agreements, and implement measures to continuously monitor and improve quality in business operations.

A day in the life
As a Sr. Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Amazon Devices Business Development channel distribution operational strategy with internal and external partners. In conjunction with daily operations, they will drive product feature roadmaps across sales channels to advocate for features on behalf of Amazon’s customers. The successful candidate will be experienced at leading cross-functional projects, business requirements gathering, prioritization frameworks, and process improvement exercises. They are a self-starter who can listen, form insight, and execute while defining the strategic vision for process improvement and automation across the organization. They will balance earning their stakeholders’ trust while delivering against tight timelines. A desire to dive deep to understand the business and ability to build a trusted network with stakeholder teams and external partners is essential to this role.

About the team
This role sits on the Business Development Sale Operations (BDSO) team which manages centralized operations for: physical distribution, tech licensing operations, and new to market enablement in the Amazon Devices Business Development organization. BDSO also owns two Salesforce (SF) instances utilized for business development pipeline management, planning, and forecasting globally. Business development operations and systems are managed with a focus on sustainability and continuous improvement to enable scalability and new business models.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
- Experience defining, refining and implementing business processes, procedures and policies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience with process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with SQL and pulling data via queries
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce or similar software

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market.
