The Amazon Private Brands Sustainability Operations and Tech team is looking for an experienced and dynamic product manager to embed sustainability throughout every aspect of the product lifecycle and supplier experience in Amazon's Private Brands business. The Amazon Private Brands Sustainability Operations and Tech team owns solutions that cut across both environmental and social sustainability concerns to ensure business teams execute against our constantly-raising sustainability bar. This team creates mechanisms and standards that influence business decisions at the product-, supplier-, and supply chain-levels.

As the Senior Product Manager, Sustainability Operations and Tech, you will partner with APB teams around the globe, including product developers, business managers, sourcing managers, manufacturers, public policy/environmental/social responsibility experts, and central product and tech teams to operationalize sustainability into business decisions, metrics, and goals as well as into the processes and tools that these teams use daily.

This role requires skills to influence across a global organization, manage a high level of ambiguity, and make high-judgement decisions. The ideal candidate will be highly-analytical, creative, articulate, influential and be able to invent new solutions that are simple and effective.

Key job responsibilities
• Create and maintain high-trust relationships with cross-functional teams to support sustainability initiatives
• Provide direction to internal product and technology teams to influence systems, product designs, and services
• Develop supplier communication strategy together with Sourcing and Compliance teams
• Participate in other sustainability initiatives and programs as needed
• Understand the sustainable consumer goods space and develop a roadmap for private brands products.
• Align both leadership and operational teams with supplier sustainability experience strategy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working in Sustainability
- Experience working with suppliers or in a manufacturing business unit

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
