Key job responsibilities
- Lead multiple learning projects and designs that enhance our ability to efficiently and effectively to ensure our leaders have the capabilities to deliver for our customers today and into the future.
- Conduct detailed training needs assessments in partnership with senior leaders and relevant subject matter experts.
- Craft and execute innovative and peculiar executive learning paths, leveraging varied development modalities (including tech enabled learning, on-the-job/experience-based, blended, augmented/virtual-reality, performance support, simulations and gamified approaches).
- Articulate learning measurement and learning sustainment strategies to validate that our proposed solutions are having impact.
- Partner with executive product teams to ensure learning strategies are integrated into the talent management ecosystem (e.g., insights about our talent should feed development design decisions, which should in turn enhance our leadership pipeline).
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in the realm of instructional design, learning technology, science, and analytics through research, conducting experiments, and crafting/presenting white papers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or similar field.
- 7+ years’ experience in designing innovative learning to support adult learners in a corporate context.
- Experience working with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and leaders to design learning journeys and establish personas.
- Knowledge of learning science and instructional design and assessment methodologies given a corporate context.
- Excellent project management and organization skills including a proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and driving results with a strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or Ph.D. in learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or similar field.
- 7+ years’ experience designing and executing innovative and scalable learning journeys.
- Experience using quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals.
- Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced, changing work environment.
- Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
