Amazon's PXTHR (HR4HR) organization is seeking a flexible, adaptive HR Leader to provide strategic and hands-on organizational support for the corporate leaders and their teams in our Amazonian Experience and Technology (AET) team. AET provides central technology and people services delivering world-class employee experiences at scale. Based in Seattle, this role will be part of a fun, passionate, and dynamic global HR and business team. The role is both strategic and hands-on, including improving organizational effectiveness and design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching, and driving HR functional excellence. We are seeking an experienced senior HR business partner who can effectively interact with business leaders at all levels, possesses excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and works effectively across multiple locations.

In this role, you will apply business knowledge to inform and drive the short- and long-term talent management strategy and priorities for the AET team. You will partner with senior AET leaders, PXT colleagues, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations, and IXT to develop and execute strategies and planning activities to develop talent and support organizational capability. You will demonstrate analytical capabilities and be able to influence with data-driven recommendations. We are looking for a business partner who can proactively plan and design, as well as identify and diagnose issues to drive solutions.



Key job responsibilities

- Partner with AET leaders to develop, implement, and evolve strategy to support the organization in areas such as organizational design, performance management, and talent development.
- Consult on org design, workforce planning, succession planning, compensation planning, and skills assessment.
- Provide coaching to develop leaders.
- Consult with managers on employee performance and development activities.
- Engage, partner, and consult with recruiting partners to meet talent acquisition needs; interview and assess senior-level candidates; support talent assessment skills development.
- Use influence and coaching skills to cultivate a culture that reflects the organization's values and principles.
- Review and analyze business data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee engagement, performance, retention, and employee experience.
- Assess leadership and employee development training needs and conduct 1:1 and/or group training sessions as appropriate.
- Partner with central corporate teams to assess HR needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development, and leadership development.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BA/BS required
- 5+ years’ experience or equivalent in an HR business partner role or related leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management
- Experience in developing individuals to drive high performance







PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Advanced Degree preferred
- Global HR or Operations HR experience
- Experience supporting a high growth business
- Willingness and ability to be both hands-on with all levels of the organization as well as serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy and goals into optimal HR processes that are scalable, simple, customer-focused and adaptable to unique and changing business needs.
- Ability to influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization, change thinking, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without damaging relationships
- Ability to provide leadership, work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels and functional areas of an organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
