Amazon Music is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to own promotional acquisition, brand marketing, and drive initiatives for customer growth while being financially fit. As the finance owner, you will support the business in forecasting, measuring and improving efficiencies, while generating insights for future business decisions and maintaining finance controllership.
The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables, is a self-starter with strong business and financial modeling skills, has a keen attention to detail and good track record of influencing business partners. The candidate will also have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve.

- Develop business cases to support all major financial decisions
- Prepare financial metrics, financial analysis, and financial reporting
- Manage a global financial and business forecast model
- Develop, maintain and enhance finance controllership via models, reports, and processes
- Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events
- Root cause opportunities for improvement using data, then assisting the Amazon Music team to take action on your findings
A day in the life
Envision strategizing with product stakeholders on customer-facing initiatives to optimize customer engagement and financial fitness.
You will partner with marketing stakeholders to evaluate a variety of promotional offers to customers. During planning cycles (OP1, OP2, Guidance), envision partnering across finance and marketing stakeholders to forecast promotional acquisition volume and cost.
You will also partner with marketing stakeholders to develop brand campaign goals, evaluate brand campaign performance, and upholding financial controllership throughout the process.
About the team
The Amazon Music Finance team is designed to be collaborative; although each individual have clear ownership of an area(s), success typically involves partnering with our finance leads for other tiers, or specialties.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Knowledge of Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
