As a Senior User Research Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving programs that optimize user research throughput, quality, and impact across the organization. In this role, you will lead user research operations and spearhead initiatives to enhance team efficiency, research processes, and insights delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and deploying a state-of-the-art user research toolchain to empower researchers, streamline workflows, and improve data management
- Owning and driving transparent user research project tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensure visibility, accountability, and data-driven decision making
- Collaborating with user research, design, science, product, and engineering teams to create and manage research-focused guidelines, best practices, and knowledge sharing
- Identifying opportunities to scale and optimize user research efforts through innovative, yet simple and repeatable approaches

About the team
The Central Science Team within Amazon’s People Experience and Technology org (PXTCS) uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, machine learning, and user research to proactively identify mechanisms and process improvements which simultaneously improve Amazon and the lives, well-being, and the value of work to Amazonians. We are an interdisciplinary team, which combines the talents of science, research, design and engineering to develop and deliver solutions that measurably achieve this goal.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years experience in user research and/or UX research operations and program management.
- Experience working with UX design, user research and development teams.
- Familiarity of user-centered design and iterative development processes.
- Demonstrable history of influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong written and presentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)
- Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management
- Ability to engage and influence people and teams at every level in the organization (non-technical and technical).
- Proven track record of effective resource planning and on-time program delivery for complex, cross-functional design projects.
- Able to independently and effectively problem-solve and manage a high volume of programs and tasks.
- Able to balance long-term visioning with a bias for action towards immediate needs.
- Experience in a customer-centric, data and insights-driven product design environment.
- Motivated by a scale-up environment where rapid iteration and collaboration is encouraged.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600/year in our highest geographic market.
