As the Sr. Risk Manager Data Management you will be responsible for supporting risk and compliance of our global employee’s onboarding documents (such as NDA’s, terms of employment etc.), documents required during an employee’s lifecycle and employee files. This includes 1) identifying and determining which document compliance requirements need to be integrated into new products and features that onboard Amazon employees, and 2) using EOA risk mechanisms to evaluate and determine tradeoffs.
Key job responsibilities
• Proactive engagement with data management, product, tech teams to provide document risk/compliance inputs early in the product lifecycle to influence roadmaps and increase speed of delivery.
• Use EOA Mechanisms to identify and recommend document compliance requirements and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with global legal teams to determine compliance requirements and work with product and tech owners to determine how best to interpret these requirements.
• Develop strategies for identifying, assessing and mitigating high priority document and employee file compliance gaps and risks.
• Must be able to work independently to research complex business issues, understand legal requirements, determine a point of view and advise leadership by presenting clear benefits and risks tradeoff analysis for decisions.
• Build trust, rapport, and a strong working relationship with EOA leaders, Labor & Employment Legal, and other key stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary data management risk and compliance point of contact for key EOA teams.

The EOA organization owns the end-to-end Joining Amazon, Contingent Worker Lifecycle and Administration experiences. We build technology and support the services that deliver the best possible experiences for employees, contingent workers, people managers, and HR professionals globally. The Risk, Compliance and Policy (RCP) team works to ensure that the products we launch are born compliant and identify and manage risks that arise within the appetite of the organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
