As an Instock Manager (ISM) within Amazon Fresh Grocery, you'll take on a critical role at the forefront of developing business plans and overseeing supply chain and inventory management for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) servicing physical grocery stores. You will work with vendors, program teams, and product teams to stand up new process and tech that drive sales volume, allow for site-level assortment customization, and achieve high fill and inventory accuracy. This is an area with considerable white space, and good candidates will be comfortable in driving results despite through ambiguity, leveraging industry leading practice, and comfortable in inventing and simplifying our VMI program.
To be successful in this role, you should feel comfortable using data to influence others and building scalable systems and processes to allow our business to grow. Key job responsibilities
A successful Instock Manager will:
- Lead and oversee the Instock function, including demand planning, ordering, and capacity management, ensuring optimal inventory availability and health.
- Collaborate with vendors and store operators to understand business requirements for building a best-in-class VMI supply chain
- Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve customer experience and overall cost structure of the business
- Perform complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue and profitability
- Partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvements that affect purchasing and vendor management workflows

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of with Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience working with complex data sets
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
- Experience with SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
