The Central Games Intelligence team supports the Games org by transforming data into decisions, delivering actionable insights at scale for game developers, publishers, and business stakeholders.
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to take ownership of delivering large scale solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. On our Central Intelligence team, you'll have an enormous opportunity to help shape business decisions as a trusted advisor to partner teams as well as Senior Leadership. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with communicating customer and developer experience metrics as actionable insights.
Key job responsibilities
* Partner with Engineering, Science, and Business teams to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement of our anti-botting and anti-cheating technologies
* Develop best-in-class performance reports and automate standardized reporting for regular metrics; identify areas of opportunity to automate, scale ad-hoc analyses; and build and inform BI tool improvements
* Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders both in and out of the team, create analytical insights to discover key priorities for Amazon Games
* Proactively make and justify recommendations based on advanced statistical techniques, deep familiarity with customer or developer experiences, and cross-referencing multiple data sources and comparing against the wider industry
* Provide requirements for telemetry and data structure's to improve ability to extract data efficiently and provide the team insights faster
* Earn customer trust by maintaining and adhering to Information Product quality standards and best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- 5+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience producing metrics that help teams identify and action bad actor behavior (e.g., botting, cheating, fraud) and minimize good customer harm

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
