The Amazon Books, Devices & AGI legal team is looking for an engineer who is excited by unique challenges and passionate about using the latest technologies to create innovative solutions that address important customer needs. Key job responsibilities
As a key member of a small embedded technology team with a global scope, you will have the opportunity to work directly with internal legal customers and members of other technology teams, to collaboratively identify solutions, and to own major deliverables across all aspects of the software development life cycle. Successful candidates will excel at quickly learning and working with new technologies, partnering directly with end-users and senior leaders, creating reliable code, and finding creative solutions to tangible problems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Ability to take a project from scoping requirements in close partnership with end customers through the actual launch of a project
- Experience working directly with end users, internal and external technical stakeholders, and senior leaders to identify requirements, define, prioritize, and scope product features, and develop and execute technical designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
