AWS Financial Technology Team is looking for a strong technical leader results-oriented, driven who can help us create the next generation of distributed, scalable data analytics systems. You will have an opportunity to build state of the art centralized front end experience for AWS Finance and Business teams to enable rich analytics and insights, and improve overall decision making by Finance team under AWS CFO.

What you will build ?

We are building services and applications for 2000+ internal users that deliver fast and easy interactive platforms for daily work needs. Our solutions range from focused financial models for planning, forecasting, reconciliation to generalized capabilities like document editing and narrative authoring tools.

You will enjoy working in this team if you are a fast learner and want to build on the full stack of data layer and presentation layer. You will build from scratch as well as improve mid to large size services and tools for real-time processing and connect together integrated solutions built using Native AWS. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, development and test of web solutions. You will train junior engineers on best practices, conduct tech talks to share organization wide impactful ideas. You will help the team achieve fast turnarounds by designing and developing unified systematic workflows. You will develop on Amazon internal technology stack and only integrate with third party software whenever absolutely necessitated by the wider Finance community.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
