The Device Software and Services team is recruiting a Senior UX designer to drive the design of our next-generation cross-platform UX experience system for Amazon customers. You will lead the creation of the principles, rules, patterns, UI components, and aesthetic style of the Amazon Device experience. From early-stage concepts all the way through final delivery and launch, you’ll work closely with product management, engineering, and executive leadership across Amazon Devices and beyond. Key job responsibilities
- Understand our brands, goals, and business goals to create our product/service personality
- Ensure the UX system supports measurable business requirements and goals
- Incorporate market analysis, customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design
- Quickly and iteratively create interaction flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups throughout the design process
- Develop and maintain detailed information architecture and design specifications
- Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership
- Collaborate with designers in partner Amazon teams and beyond on common UX systems design including developer portals

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
