The team is growing fast and we're looking for a Senior Risk Manager to join our team in Seattle!

This role sits within the Trustworthy Shopping Experience (TSE) team, where we are responsible for creating a trustworthy shopping experience across Amazon stores worldwide. Our vision is to guarantee customers a worry-free shopping experience by earning their trust that the products they buy are safe, authentic, and compliant with regulations and policy. We want our customers to have confidence that Amazon stands behind every product, and will make it right in the rare chance anything goes wrong.

TSE is comprised of two main business verticals with three shared services teams - This role sits within one of the two main business verticals, named Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC). RISC enable Selling Partners to offer their broadest selection of safe and compliant products to our customers. We also interpret regulations, create policies, setup automated controls, and build products to make it easier for Selling Partners to be compliant, and to educate consumers so they make informed safe purchases.

Within RISC, this role will specfically sit within the Buyer Safety Experience (BSX), where the successful candidate will own the end-to-end execution for continuous improvement projects within the WW Product Recalls & post-purchase experiences. The sucessful candidate will become a critical pivot between WW program, WW product & WW engineering teams, helping to build out a long-term vision, roadmap and lower level user-requirements to solve the toughest problems we face in this area of the business. The sucesseful candidate will be able to comfortable balance risk with speed and be able to lead cross-org teams independtly, towards the same end vision.


Key job responsibilities
- Defining, owning and executing end-to-end projects independently, with a heavy tech component
- Building out 1 year, 3 year & 5 year roadmap to achieve key business goals
- Expert in garnering consensus amongst different business stakeholders, spanning across different regions, to ensure alignment on key topics & projects within area of responsibility
- Able to work with Product & Engineering teams to build out solutions to solve tough business problems
- Comfortable in navigating through ambiguity independently & driving towards the correct end solution
- Leveraging critical thinking to challenge the status quo and drive improvements within the area of responsibility
- Clear, precise, and regular communication with key stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Able to exercise high judgement to take informed decisions, without having perfect data

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
