Key job responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end design process for complex user experiences, from strategy and prototyping to testing and design, solving healthcare challenges at massive scale.
* Create visually compelling, on-brand design solutions that enhance usability and delight users while adhering to Amazon's design principles.
* Define and drive the visually appealing UX vision and strategy for key initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Engineering, and Business leaders.
* Conduct in-depth usability testing and leverage analytics to inform design decisions and measure the success of UX innovations.
* Create comprehensive design artifacts including user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
* Present and defend design recommendations to partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership for review, feedback, and approval.
* Champion a user-centered design approach throughout the organization, advocating for user needs and elevating the overall quality of design.
* Mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system and UI library, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
A day in the life
As a Senior UX Designer at Amazon Health, you'll tackle some of our most complex customer problems. You're expected to think like an owner and raise the bar for customer experience. Your day might be involve collaborating with UX Researchers on a new study, brainstorming innovative solutions with Product Managers, or presenting your latest designs to senior leadership. You'll use your organizational and communication skills to bring clarity to ambiguous situations, working strategically with team members across the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- 7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques
- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Have strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture, and design
- Able to move quickly in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Naturally curious and find inspiration beyond the screen; through the people you talk to, analogous experiences, and beyond
- Have experience designing services and delivering UX solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Have experience owning projects, communicating timelines, aligning stakeholders, and executing independently
- Confidently present a strong rationale for design decisions and rely on analytics and data (including qualitative data) to shape product decisions and track the effectiveness of change
- Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Fluent in using Figma and prototyping tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
