Amazon is seeking a high-judgment and self-motivated communications professional to join our Sustainability & Community Impact team. This team amplifies positive stories on how Amazon is using its scale for good, and innovating to strengthen communities around the world. Specifically, this person will oversee the Community Impact team, managing three direct reports, and focusing on Amazon's initiatives around Housing, Disaster Relief, Food Security and Education.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:

-Set and drive strategy, create processes and mechanisms to work as a team, and collaboratively across Amazon, and support executing external campaigns for these pillars.
-Act as the day-to-day executive counsel for our Amazon Community Impact leadership, and also serve as a key contact for press and media--both nationally, and hyper-locally in Seattle and DC.
-Play an important role identifying trends, working across business leaders as well as across the communications and public policy organizations to drive storytelling in this area.
-Be someone who can think big, is a self-starter and highly proactive, has a bias for action and consistently insists on high standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-10+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
-Bachelor's degree
-Experience managing people as well as external agencies
-Media relations experience and working with press
-Excellent written and oral communications skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Outstanding attention to detail
-Customer-service oriented with strong people skills
-Demonstrated experience building trust and influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
-Ability to think strategically and implement ideas from ideation to measurement/evaluation
-Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $246,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
