Key job responsibilities
- You will lead P&L controllership for the Digital Reading Subscriptions business (Kindle Unlimited & Prime Reading) by owning the KU management P&L, materials for weekly business reviews, documents for monthly close/reporting. You will be the POC for improving/automating controllership processes. Furthermore, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic narratives around how Kindle Unlimited program drives the growth of WW digital books business' topline and bottom line.
- As a Finance Partner to Head of KU Marketing, you will implement and drive the core financial processes and reporting to measure ROI of pricing promotions and marketing initiatives (e.g., influencer marketing).
- As a thought partner to the business, you will lead ad hoc financial analyses around how we bring in new subscribers to the program and retain subscribers, with a focus on marketing and selection activities.
A day in the life
- As a finance leader, you will partner with Head of KU Marketing, WW KU Marketing team and WW Books Demand team to drive sustainable growth of the digital reading subscription program, with a mission to bringing the joy of reading to customers around the globe.
- You will deep dive into data and distill actionable insights for the business.
- You will build new models, tools and processes to help KU marketing team's decisions. You will be looking into Long-term value of a customer, acquisition costs and efficiency of marketing/promotion initiatives.
- You will lead discussions and analysis around traffic, conversion and starts/retention by working closely with the overall WW KU team and WW Books team. Beyond KU Marketing, you will work closely with KU Product Management, KU Business Intelligence, KU Selection team and WW Books Paid Marketing team to connect the dots across demand channels, content and pricing promotions.
- You will lead discussions with the senior Books Business/Finance leadership team by raising hot debates and providing strategic options for leadership level decisions.
- You will lead the automation and innovation to our current closing/planning processes to improve productivity and efficiency.

WW Reading Subscription finance team is a trusted thought partner and finance advisor to the WW Reading Subscription (Kindle Unlimited & Prime Reading) business. We provide strong financial controllership through accurate and timely data and build mental models (guardrails/tools) to help the business in achieving its goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
