In this role, you’ll be at the center of driving AWS’s sales strategy, partnering directly with the AWS Specialists and Partners organization to manage, optimize, transform a $1B+ investment portfolio. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Finance leaders to build financial plans, analyze large-scale investment opportunities, build mechanisms for goal setting and leadership reporting packages, and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the day-to-day business and helping drive strategic growth for the future.

You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving in rapidly evolving environments, and possess strong attention to detail. This role requires a self-starter comfortable taking the initiative, strong data modeling skills, advanced Excel and SQL abilities, strong project management, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a key finance partner to the Migration and Modernization team, collaborating to analyze inputs and outputs, assess business performance, optimize our customer’s experience, achieve common goals, and monitor risks.
• Develop and evolve complex financial models that analyze program- and portfolio-level revenue, profit, and ROI impacts to help maximize investment effectiveness.
• Build rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals and deliver ongoing insights and KPIs to guide overall business direction.
• Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data to create meaningful analyses and models that drive business decisions.
• Dive deep on material results and trends to understand the business drivers behind the numbers.
• Work with finance technology partners to automate and simplify processes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CFA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Passion for diving into the details of productivity metrics and cost measurement including ROI and customer lifetime value analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
