We are seeking a Sr. Finance Manager to join our finance organization supporting the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement team. This role is on the AWS Infrastructure Finance team. We provide end-to-end financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in designing and procuring server equipment. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. You should be comfortable with the detail and be able to connect it to the big picture and communicate the story behind the numbers.

Key job responsibilities
- Analyze key strategic initiatives and cost optimization opportunities
- Lead controllership for the Frontier business
- Finance lead for Infrastructure rate/volume/supply for Gen/AI
- Partner with AWS Infrastructure FP&A teams to support compelling, business drivers and create clear, concise communication for consumption by senior leadership.
- Work cross-functionally with business partners and various finance teams on strategic initiatives requiring NPV analyses and monthly reporting on financial status.
- Develop metrics and reports to provide visibility into cost structure and drive actionable goals with business team
- Develop business cases for ad-hoc projects and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
- Manage 3-4 cost controllers working to provide cost insights on components that go in Server and Networking racks.
- Support the regional expansion and growth of the Frontier business including Outpost.
- Provide insights and cost visibility into the high-growth Gen/AI space within AWS Infrastructure

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
- 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- 3+ years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- 8+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 7+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
