In this role you will own business operations for the Payments Security organization, initiatives, and goals. You will be responsible for driving key operational processes, tracking business reporting requirements, communication processes, and coordinating updates to senior leadership on major programs and projects. You must be an excellent writer who can succinctly communicate complicated technical and operational issues in business terms. Working cross-functionally is key, and you will need to be comfortable performing in a highly collaborative environment and working with your peers to accomplish joint projects and meet the objectives. You will work with key stakeholders in Amazon Security, Payments, Finance, HR, and individual leaders across the organization to define goals, track progress, and communicate priorities and escalate issues. You will be responsible for defining, tracking, and driving execution of program documentation and communication deliverables.

A day in the life
This role drives the pulse of the Payments Security organization ensuring the team is aligned and connected to its partners. You will manage all operational aspects of the team ensuring our programs, finances, and people are on track as well as helping to drive security campaigns with the payments business. You will communicate at the executive level with our partners globally to help them understand accurate status of what is happening on the ground with our teams. You will also be the primary driver of our annual planning cycle, aligning and setting expectations between executive stakeholders, engineering teams, and Payments Security leadership. You will manage multiple end to end projects and key mechanisms, while demonstrating high judgement, clear communication, creative approaches, the ability to think big, and a consistent track record of delivering results.

The Amazon Stores Security team is responsible for protecting Amazon’s information assets. We partner across Amazon’s Stores business units to build and monitor a secure environment for the Amazon business, software and data. We provide security “In the Cloud” and enable scalable mechanisms for software developers and systems to meet Amazon’s security and privacy requirements. We are both a customer and a partner to AWS in raising security awareness, providing scalable tools, and protecting shared infrastructure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience with writing communications such as strategy papers or white papers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
