This role is responsible for ensuring the Direct Tax Reporting & Compliance team is supported in their mission with world-class products that meet their accuracy, scalability, agility, and controllership needs. The impact of this role is evidenced by the ability to innovate robust and scalable capabilities that empower our customers around the globe and across 1000’s of tax jurisdictions to meet the unique challenges of Amazon.
We are looking for a Product Manager Technical (PMT) with experience leading business facing products with a global customer base. You should bring a track record of aligning vision, resolving ambiguity, defining strategies, building a product roadmap, measuring impact, and working with engineering teams to deliver against the roadmap. To be successful, you must also be able to influence across teams, be a strong communicator (written and oral), and be an analytic thinker who is capable of simplifying complexity. You should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and be capable of working through ambiguity or competing priorities.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive best-in-class execution of ongoing technology initiatives
- Help define and shape the user experience over a diverse customer base
- Collaborate closely with customers, software engineers, and solutions architects on the same team to help deliver the product.
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement for world-class modeling products.
- Develop vision statements, roadmaps, work-back plans and other artifacts
- Contribute to DTT product management best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience
- Experience working with engineering and technical teams to build automated solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines
- Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products
- Experience coordinating complex products with stringent technical requirements, development cycles and schedules
- Experience coding in Python and/or building and driving adoption of tools for developers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
