As a PR Manager for Amazon Ads, you will provide communications counsel to, and partner with, business leaders to craft and implement holistic executive communications programs that help educate and inspire our audiences. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and executing owned and earned communications strategies, tactics, and content; ongoing media relations; collaborating with stakeholders across a variety of Amazon communications and business teams; and working with our international teams to help extend and localize programs for their regions.
The successful candidate is customer-obsessed with high-judgment. They are exemplary written and verbal communicators, with exceptional media relations and project management skills. The candidate should have experience working with high standards under tight deadlines, and a proven track record of earning trust from internal and external stakeholders, as well as effectively managing complex and high-profile media/speaking engagements.
Key job responsibilities
• Spearhead owned and earned communications strategies and messaging for select Amazon Ads executives across media engagements, speaking engagements, and owned channels/events
• Manage executive speaking and media engagement
• Provide strategic PR counsel and support to business leaders.
• Keep current on industry trends, issues, and news and proactively provide related counsel
• Build and maintain relevant media relationships
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years advertising industry experience
- Experience proactively managing a current network of media contacts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of executive communications experience
- Experience writing for a range of audiences and formats, including social, copy-writing and speech writing
- Experience working internationally, including with media across multiple regions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
