The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon. Within GREF, the Global Portfolio Strategy & Transactions (GPST) team drives global insights and initiatives as a center of expertise to our regional teams in strategizing and planning our corporate real estate portfolio at Amazon.

As a Technical Operations Program Manager within the GREF GPST organization at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, high-impact technical programs that support the successful management of a world-class occupancy planning organization. You will work cross-functionally with internal partners and stakeholders to ensure data dependencies and technical requirements are captured in the design, planning and implementation of customer-centric technology initiatives to enable GREF to be successful.

This role requires a leader who can navigate ambiguity and isn’t afraid to dive deep to identify opportunities and solutions that deliver at scale. This role requires technical expertise yet is able to distill varying degrees of complexities in order to find ways to simplify. A successful candidate will have strong organizational and influencing skills, be self-sufficient in gathering data and using that data to guide their decision making.

Key job responsibilities
• Own continuous improvement and related technology requirements underpinning a world-class Occupancy Planning organization.
• Develop and manage comprehensive program plans that identify and outline goals, timelines, resource requirements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the single point of contact to technical teams, defining process improvements and business requirements to ensure data dependencies and technical requirements are captured in the design, planning and implementation of customer-centric technology initiatives.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of multiple, concurrent technology and data initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed successfully and on time.
• Facilitate status meetings with project teams, key stakeholders, and GREF leadership to communicate progress, address issues, and make data-driven decisions.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems or roadblocks that arise during program execution.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, end-users, technology teams, and data/analytics groups. Collaborate closely to deeply understand requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Implement agile and hybrid delivery methodologies to prioritize, resource, and deliver technology and data initiatives in a timely and cost-effective manner and foster collaboration, adaptability, and customer-centricity.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the company's technology and data initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Facilities Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management or a related role.
- 8+ years of experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or space planning.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale programs.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to synthesize complex ideas into well-constructed document.
- Expertise in program management methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience leading large projects in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders or in a high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in using project management and analytics software (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, Smartsheet, Taskei, QuickSight).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to synthesize complex ideas into well-constructed document.
- Intermediate skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization tools.
- Global mindset with experience working across different cultures and regions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
