The Global IMPACT team—Integrated Marketing, Partnerships, Action, Communications, and The Climate Pledge (TCP)—establishes Amazon’s leadership in corporate sustainability by demonstrating how we use our size and scale to have a positive impact on people and the planet. This team leads non-regulatory reporting for WWS.

The IMPACT team is looking for an ESG Ratings Manager to lead the project management of Amazon’s ESG Ratings program. They will build and maintain critical tools, mechanisms, and communications to coordinate with various stakeholders across Amazon, and contribute to and ensure the development of successful ratings submissions. Their work will help scale Amazon’s overall disclosure and reporting strategy, and drive greater transparency and awareness of Amazon’s progress and performance on key environmental and social topics.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the evolving reporting landscape, an obsession with data-driven decision making, and a proven track record of managing and simplifying complex projects. For success in this role, the candidate must be a self-starter, show good judgement, and confidently find solutions in situations of high ambiguity.


Key job responsibilities
- Lead the project management for the ESG ratings program, including the development and maintenance of program processes, timelines, tools, and communications
- Contribute to the development of high-priority ratings submissions, working with subject-matter experts and data owners to plan and make strategic disclosures
- Build and lead a sub-program to provide guidance on ratings-adjacent workstreams owned by other teams, such as informal customer surveys and awards questionnaires
- Drive continuous improvement across the program by inspecting processes, creating efficiencies, and simplifying workstreams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of experience working in corporate sustainability, product or program management, business development, or related fields
- 5+ years managing projects with increasing levels of complexity
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Experience in sustainability reporting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s Degree in a related field
- Experience defining program requirements and using data to determine improvements
- Ability to simplify complex information in written and oral communications, particularly to business audiences
- Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders with differing and/or competing interests
- Familiarity with Workiva and other reporting and project management tools
- Ability to work independently, while collaborating with a diverse set of internal stakeholders to provide critical inputs
- Ability to deliver in ambiguity, and multi-task in an agile environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
