The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon. Within GREF, the Global Portfolio Strategy & Transactions (GPST) team drives global insights and initiatives as a center of expertise to our regional teams in strategizing and planning our corporate real estate portfolio at Amazon.

This role is pivotal to enhancing the occupancy planning process and experience for both GREF and customers. This position will establish and manage effective tools, mechanisms and governance for occupancy planners across regions, focusing on strategic process improvements. The involves leading global strategic planning initiatives, methods to improve the accuracy of our real estate metrics, and collaborating with regional leads to drive consistency and efficiency in occupancy planning.

Key job responsibilities
This role requires a leader who can navigate ambiguity can dive deep to identify opportunities and solutions that deliver at scale. Must have strong organizational and influencing skills, & gather/use to guide their decision making.

• Primary liaison with Regional Occupancy Planning (OP) Leads to establish and maintain a global governance model driving consistency and accuracy with regional occupancy planning teams;
• Drive portfolio data accuracy through stewardship, including planning tools management; establish mechanisms for capturing and tracking real estate metrics (e.g., supply/demand).
• Liaison with upstream and downstream GREF partners (e.g., PXT) on initiatives impacting/improving portfolio data management/occupancy planning.
• Drive defect identification, mechanisms, and establishing priorities for occupancy planning
• Drive occupancy planning process improvement initiatives
• Develop and manage comprehensive program plans that identify and outline goals, timelines, resource requirements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate regular status meetings with project teams, key stakeholders, and GREF leadership
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems or roadblocks
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all teams Collaborate closely to deeply understand their requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Work in a matrix reporting structure
Provide guidance and mentorship to program team members.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facilities Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or space planning.

- • Ability to interpret real estate data and metrics to inform proactive planning.
- • Proficient in overseeing the development and implementation of strategic tools and initiatives.
- • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
