We are seeking a Sr Finance Analyst to directly support the Prime Air business, which is a future delivery service which is designed to safely get packages to customers in 30 minutes or less using autonomous aerial vehicles. This role will be responsible for providing financial support to the Drone Engineering, Global Supply Chain (GSC), and Manufacturing organizations, and as well as AWS Infrastructure cost controllership. They will work with the business to ensure that they are delivering the expected feature enhancements to the drone within budget. The enhancements developed in these organizations will allow Prime Air to scale and do so autonomously. Additionally, they will be a key financial partner in driving analytical support for senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities
Providing business partnership to the Prime Air Drone Engineering, Global Supply Chain (GSC), and Manufacturing teams specifically focused on budgeting & headcount support.
AWS Infrastructure Market Rate (IMR) modeling, reporting, and cost efficiency improvements as Prime Air scales.
Leading automation initiatives within the Prime Air Finance team to speed up reporting mechanisms & allow the finance team to keep pace with the business.
Coordinating and collaborating with cross functional teams to optimize efforts across the Prime Air organization.
Assisting in month end close, controllership, and planning activities.
Developing and refining financial models in creating solutions that scale.
Executing ad-hoc analysis and providing thoughtful business insights.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
