Amazon Global Tax Services seeks a Finance Manager to be a key partner supporting Tax and business leadership. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical, creative, flexible, finance leader to help Tax deliver compliance and business support. As a Finance Manager, you will work side by side with leadership in Tax and the business leveraging your skills and experience to develop and influence business strategies, financial models, and analytical insights while establishing the processes and mechanisms necessary to deliver work efficiently while driving decision making.

The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to influence the decisions of senior leaders through effective verbal and written communication, financial analyses, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The role operates in a global, results-oriented environment and will provide decision support and advice for key Tax leaders.


Key job responsibilities
- Drive alignment across senior leadership
- Play a critical role in cost management, controllership, cost allocation models, decision-making, and metrics development
- Own the financial model for Tax operating expenses and headcount
- Execute regular financial reporting cycles
- Develop new performance metrics and rhythm of the business processes to drive accountability and controllership
- Leverage Cognos/TM1, and other corporate financial systems to support deep dive analysis and results summarization in response to Head of Tax/CFO needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, or CPA
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
