We are seeking a Finance Manager to drive strategic thinking and business partnership for the world-wide Prime program. This role will support the development of the Prime P&L and related profitability insights to guide strategic decisions for the Prime business. This includes new country Prime launches, Prime business model evaluation, and Prime pricing decisions.

A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, comfortable with creating data driven narratives, customer obsessed, and have a willingness to navigate ambiguity. They must be comfortable contributing to recommendations presented to senior leadership (VP level) as well as having a high bar for data fidelity.



Key job responsibilities
- Facilitate financial review meetings with Business and Finance stakeholders to support decision making.

- Create new Profitability KPIs and financial reports that enable cross-country benchmarking.

- Drive thought leadership on the unit economics of the Prime business which leads to actionable insights.

- Develop and leverage relationships within a highly matrixed organizational structure.

- Manage large volumes of complex data and synthesize findings to senior management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
