We are seeking a highly motivated FP&A leader that will support our B2B Payments businesses. The FP&A leader is responsible for providing thought leadership for the various financial planning cycles, driving insights on business performance, and drive automation and process improvement opportunities.

The FP&A leader will work closely with business leaders to drive conversations about performance, as well as make recommendations to improve profitability. This will include developing mechanisms to monitor and track team productivity, ensuring optimal discretionary spending, and adherence to financial targets. This role will liaise with a number of finance teams across Amazon Payments, so this leader should be able to work well with cross functional teams. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Entering the business to business (B2B) market is one of Amazon’s most exciting growth opportunities and since launching in 2015, The B2B Payments team is focused on building tailored payment products that enable AB’s customers to enjoy a seamless purchasing experience. Key job responsibilities
• Maintain, and improve, existing finance processes to ensure high degree of data integrity, and insightful analysis.
• Presentation of findings and recommendations to Senior Business Leaders, and Amazon Payments Finance
• Manage and develop scalable financial tools or reports that align, and simplify, monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes
• Assist in developing monthly/quarterly financial reporting (actual and forecast) and annual budgeting
• Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends




Key job responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
