Our Shipping and Delivery Support (SDS) organization which is one of the businesses within broader World wide Customer Service (WWCS) currently has an opening for a Finance Manager to support our North America and LATAM Operations and Global Customer and Supervisor Escalations (CASE) operations. With CSF and as a Finance Business Partner, you will have opportunities to interact with stakeholders at many levels all around the globe, deliver crisp and clear communication verbally and in writing, influence decision making, and apply your financial acumen to a wide variety of challenges. Key job responsibilities
- Partners with North America/LATAM and CASE Operations teams leading finance for these businesses.
- Supports WW SDS Planning and Reporting and closely working with SDS leadership team on long and short term strategies.
- Uses solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon. These decisions can have global impact.
- Delivers weekly/monthly financial close. Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.
- Creates effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.
- Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
- Collects and analyzes quantitative data to develop relevant reports that drive cost reductions.
- Participates in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members. Seeks and leverages diverse perspectives in all activities.
- Identifies opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improves, scales, or simplifies finance tools across teams and organizations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, CS Insights and/or Cognos) and other financial systems (i.e. Oracle, Hyperion), providing solutions based on results of ad hoc analyses to senior management for strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and senior levels of management
- Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment
- Management experience with demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to take on new assignments
- Have ability to build, manage and maintain models for problem solving, variance analysis, and forecasting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
