The Worldwide Customer Service Finance team is looking for a Finance Manager to join our growing business to partner with the Worldwide Capacity Planning team. You will work closely with your business partners to define roadmaps, identify the right business strategies, and provide guidance and reporting. The successful candidate will be a self-starting contributor with effective business partnership experience and proven abilities to manage complex projects and dive deep into the details when needed. This person will partner with finance and business leaders across several teams to provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with the Worldwide Customer Service Capacity Planning leaders to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions.
• Continuously improve existing processes with an eye toward automation, scalability, and efficiency.
• Identify cost saving opportunities through deep dives and identifying new insights.
• Align on financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.
• Partner with business teams to identify process improvements to improve controllership for month end close and forecasting accuracy.
• Manage the financial and headcount reporting for business partners
• Prepare and lead monthly financial reviews with business leaders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
