We are looking for a Contracts Manager to support Real Estate, Construction, and Economic Development projects for our Operations (logistics), Physical Stores, and GREF (corporate workplaces) businesses. We need someone who has the uncanny ability to know where they are needed, who can manage multiple workflows, and work cross-functionally with other teams on contracts but also to identify and drive global process improvements.

Your responsibilities will include: drafting, negotiating, and advising on leases, related contracts (including real estate, services, asset management and construction agreements); developing internal processes to track and simplify real estate, construction, asset management and other transactions from beginning to end; training and managing outside counsel; managing certain contract documentation; maintaining status reports; tracking team metrics including counsel budget tracking; troubleshooting processes and systems, and other legal issues across our teams.

You will also have an opportunity to work collaboratively with a global team on process improvements and work on special projects like developing and training our businesses and teams on department or company standards as well as managing for a variety of compliance matters that arise across our businesses.

You will need excellent oral and written communication skills as this position involves direct contact with principal business owners. Flexibility, sharp organizational and process-oriented skills, a self-starting work ethic, and keen attention to detail and prioritization are desired. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to work both collaboratively and individually with peers, team members and executives and other stakeholders throughout the company, complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly with little guidance; prioritize well and react with appropriate urgency to persons, situations and events; demonstrate judgment even in ambiguous situations; think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within our team, other related groups, and client populations; and an ability to look around corners, anticipate the team’s needs, and develop process improvements to improve efficiency and scale workloads across the team is a necessity.
