Amazon NAS Vendor Summit team is looking for Program Managers with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects and programs to support the Vendor Summit event. We will use this summit to reinforce Amazon as the retailer of choice for top brands, deepen our engagement with our vendors’ most senior leaders, and showcase new innovation and launches. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving event execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process changes.

Key job responsibilities
• Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations
• Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions
• Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery
• Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate
• Provide counsel to executives and cross-functional teams on content messaging
• Write and evolve messaging and talking points in a thoughtful and strategic way
• Build, guide, and execute event content, including communicating plans internally and securing leadership approvals
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges, both proactively and reactively
• Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence




A day in the life
The position is responsible for working with NAS Vendor Summit team to creatively reinforce Amazon as the retailer of choice for top brands, deepen our engagement with our vendors’ most senior leaders, and showcase new innovation and launches. This includes managing the strategic position of the NAS Vendor Summit by providing direction and implementation of Leadership presentation content for special events. This role actively develops and implements presentation plans and strategies to internal and external senior leadership teams. This position will develop communication, align strategies, produce, edit, and publish a wide variety of content, and requires excellent writing and editing skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation or equivalent professional or military experience
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and optimizing initiatives
- Experience with data mining and data analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- • BA/MS and work experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, or related field
- • Experience or use of PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen
- • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations
- • Demonstrated problem-solving, mathematic, and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment
- • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization
- • Proven ability to influence internal/external stakeholders without authority to adopt new processes/initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
