IT Services, the internal Global Amazon IT support team, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated program manager to own content business operations. You will own queue management, capacity planning, and business operations of our portfolio of strategic content programs that produce high-quality self-service content for our customers. An ideal candidate will want to be part of a team that does nothing but think about ways to more effectively communicate with customers while working to drive content strategy that removes barriers to Amazonian Productivity. In this role, you will support the Content team by assessing technical roadblocks and creating mechanisms to drive productivity. We’re looking for a candidate who can exercise high editorial judgment along with operational savvy.

This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with leaders and customers at all levels of the organization. We’re looking for someone with the ability to Think Big to help our technical writers deliver effective customer-facing content. You must be comfortable taking initiative, operating at a global scale, and working across teams in an agile environment. In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to help develop solution-oriented content strategies, support process-improvement initiatives, and own program-management projects.

Key job responsibilities
* Support the IT Content team by owning capacity planning and business operations.
* Gather and report on weekly metrics.
* Assist in planning resources and mechanisms for broader content team initiatives
* Drive collaboration with partner teams for strategic initiatives.
* Work across multiple channel levers to successfully enable Amazon employees to adopt key IT updates, features, and products
* Consult with leaders to define business objectives and deploy content strategies accordingly
* Own and lead prioritization meetings at the weekly, monthly, and quarterly level, and negotiate trade-offs
* Help define content strategy for special business initiatives and create SOPs for new content programs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 3+ years editing and/or content production experience
- Verbal communication, project management, and organization skills
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelors Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field
- Experience copywriting and editing documents and managing content/editorial calendars
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated program management skills with experience in influencing others outside of direct line of reporting, and advocating on behalf of the customer
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous situations, identify and solve for blockers with minimal guidance, know how to influence, build cross-organizational partnerships

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in managing content testing Have flexibility with changing programs and processes
- Understanding of the capabilities and constraints of a CRM and CMS application coupled with good understanding of business processes (Support Operations, Sales, Marketing, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
