Key job responsibilities
- Drive earned, owned, and social media coverage supporting Amazon’s fast delivery speeds and returns options.
- Provide strategic communications guidance and support for business initiatives related to delivery experience, returns, and pick-up options.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across teams to deliver on objectives.
- Write and execute communications plans.
- Develop and write press releases, media pitches, and owned channel content.
- Build relationships with reporters from key media outlets.
- Advise on reactive media inquiries and issues for delivery experience, returns, and customer service topics.
- Write, develop, and manage approvals for communications and external messaging dealing with sensitive and timely topics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to drive progress and earn trust while working across multiple teams.
- Experience working directly with media.
- Creative and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Solid judgment, particularly in narrow time frames.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
