Amazon is seeking to hire a Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Voice of Seller team within Selling Partner Services (SPS). This position will be instrumental in driving operational excellence across our support network to positively impact the experience for Selling Partners. In this role you will analyze large amounts of data, discover and solve real world problems; and build metrics, business cases, and standard reports around Selling Partner Support initiatives.

Voice of Customer technology is used to provide deeper insight into support experiences happening at worldwide contact centers, measure the impact of business decisions affecting tens of millions of customers, and make informed recommendations that drive operational efficiency. The Business Intelligence Engineer will leverage Voice of Customer technology to support both support operations and continuous improvement through the development and maintenance of ongoing reports, ad hoc data retrieval, and analysis of business processes.

The successful candidate will:
• Create and refine Voice of Customer metrics using Natural Language Processing for requested insights.
• Design and implement reporting solutions enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
• Monitoring existing metrics, developing and proposing new metrics, and working across the SPS organization to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders.
• Developing requirements and specifications with business and development teams.
• Analyzing, diagnosing, and recommending required changes to improve the support experience for Amazon Selling Partners.
• Work with management teams across all functional areas within the SPS network to create automated and/or ad-hoc reporting.
• Validate the data quality of a variety of data sources and ensure they will support the analysis requirements.
• Utilize SQL and SAS to manipulate the data into the necessary structure. This includes outlier analysis, data linking, missing variable treatment, and data exploration.
• Learn the necessary data storage and ETL processes to move data into BI platforms built on AWS technology.
• Analyze free text data sets for critical insights, patterns, and trends in order to develop and communicate ROI opportunities to the management team.
• Work with cross functional groups to combine VOC with other data sources and complete a full root-cause-analysis



About the team
Selling Partner Insights and Analytics team mission is to build listening mechanisms to gather frictionless SP feedback, generate insights at scale, and enable teams to prioritize and measure improvement opportunities. Selling Partner Insights and Analytics focuses on surfacing SP sentiment data/insights and connecting our stakeholders to actual SP experiences. The team performs analyses, creates visualizations and develops automated reporting solutions that help drive data driven decision making

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
