Do you possess a passion for e-commerce, an obsession to make customers happy, and at the same time an ability to solve intrinsically hard technology problems? Are you excited by the idea of directly influencing the foundation for Amazon’s future retail technology?

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) who converts data from various sources into actionable business insights. Our team is responsible for and growing an innovative, confidential, and global project that uncovers and solves endemic problems in business and technology.

As a BA, you leverage and build deep contextual and domain knowledge and proactively facilitate analysis to identify problems and opportunities. You act as a team-wide asset for expertise on accessing data and analysis on a wide variety of subject areas. You deliver business analysis - in this effort, you gather data in both traditional and non-traditional ways. Core to your role is putting data into context and interpreting it - for this, you grow the necessary business knowledge and then define ways to multiply processes you’re putting into place. You are skilled at influencing technical and business teams and when confronted with discordant views, you are able to find the best way forward and build consensus. On top of this, you’re skilled at articulating your thoughts both in verbal and written form.

In this role, you solve the complex and ambiguous analytic problems of the broader organization and skillfully flex among various tools according to the problem and data. You help Amazon improve by deriving recommendations from analysis.

Key job responsibilities
- Analyzing information, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
- Communicating data-driven findings in engaging ways - both in written narrative form and visually via dashboards
- Proactively driving team-wide data insights reviews
- Influencing teams and roadmaps to drive changes according to the analyses you completed
- Owning reporting and analytics roadmaps to build scalability and automation
- Creating scalable mechanisms to manage and share insights, findings, and recommendations
- Independently seeking additional technical guidance and Principal reviews where necessary
- Liaising with various internal and external teams to deliver results
- Influencing overall data strategy for the organization
