Amazon Kindle Content is seeking a Books Risk Management (BRM) Risk Program Manager to manage programs, process improvements, etc. for the BRM Risk space. This is an exciting opportunity to help resolve broad-scale, risky, and highly visible issues that impact authors and publishers.

BRM Risk PM’s are highly motivated and work autonomously with a capability to manage multiple, large-scale issues effectively. They use excellent verbal and written skills to strategize and proactively drive solutions with internal stakeholders that fix and improve the author experience. The environment is fast-paced, ambiguous, and challenging with priorities that are constantly changing.

Key job responsibilities
• Execute tasks as part of Risk Programs.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to drive root cause analysis on broad-scale and high-risk issues.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key global stakeholders to ensure program activities and initiatives are aligned with business requirements.
• Independently strategize and drive solutions with internal stakeholders to reduce business risk and improve the customer experience.
• Capture requirements from various stakeholders on all Escalations owned program changes.
• Assess known and emerging risks and threats within Books that directly impact the customer and Amazon business operations.
• Monitor execution of fixes and feature changes to ensure the delivery is in line with the expected outcome and target date.
• Proactively communicate clearly, concisely, and consistently with all stakeholders through various channels including ongoing program status reports.
• Partner with Legal, PR, ECR and CRM Operations leaders to develop or improve BRM operational processes and policies.
• Maintain quality of products through continuous measurement of impact, program and product effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Lead war-room calls to triage high-risk issues quickly with internal stakeholders.
• Research and recommend innovative technology solutions to manage complex threat and risk situations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
