As Amazon’s store-wide design system owner, we define the UX guidelines and design language (codified in our shopping design system) that enables teams across Amazon to design on-brand shopping experiences efficiently and at scale. We are looking for a UX designer that enjoys building the design system that is utilized by thousands of designers and developers around the world. You love thinking about how the design framework and component work across different use cases (different screen sizes, languages, countries, etc). You love collaborating with design and engineering teams with different business objectives and identifying the solution that can scale.

Key job responsibilities
• Build libraries for design tools (Figma, etc.) and contribute to design component documentation
• Partner with teams across Amazon to identify and deliver compelling ways to bring design consistency across the site
• Incorporate customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design
• Create detailed design specifications for engineering partners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Knowledge of mobile and web design patterns and accessibility standards
- Experience in a variety of design and prototype tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Experience designing reusable UX components or libraries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $158,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
