This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and will support partner, business development, and specialist sales teams within AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services. This role will structure, draft, and negotiate complex, impactful commercial agreements; guide and counsel internal business partners on a variety of complex legal issues; and drive process-oriented improvements.
The successful candidate has excellent communication skills and organizational skills. They are enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. They are able to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate works well within a large legal team, but is also able to work independently.
We hire attorneys with experience in a variety of practice areas, including (but not limited to) litigators, general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, technical transactions, intellectual property, telecommunications, real estate, products, regulatory compliance, and privacy. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Juris doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one state bar
2+ years of legal experience as a licensed attorney
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with cloud computing
In-house experience at a technology or internet company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
