Key job responsibilities
- Managing executive briefing documents designed to prepare Amazon’s senior leaders for meetings with counterparts at our partner companies (CEO/CXO level), either as one-to-ones, or in preparation for events (many meetings over several days).
- Build repeatable programs for world-class meeting and event preparation, including alignment with account teams, and other internal Amazon business unit teams.
- Help define and improve processes to streamline this work area/program, leveraging new and existing tools and project management techniques.
- Active tracking of all meetings, action items, follow-ups and events during the course of the year, with responsibility for proactive communication and engagement with teams required in preparation of executive messaging, and up-to-date insights and relevant updates.
- Defining and delivering quantifiable results demonstrating success and impact of the program and meeting outcomes.
- Establishing mechanisms, tools, and processes that promote effective collaboration internally and externally while earning trust with partner teams and internal Amazon stakeholders.
A day in the life
Working closely with the CorpBD team, and C-Suite offices, the role will work to prepare work-back project times lines and schedules, internal communications, and all aspects of briefing doc quality and event preparation. Responsible for bar-raising the quality of documents, proofreading, thoroughness and appropriate level of messaging and data required for high-caliber meetings. In many cases, working on tight deadlines will be required, and collaborating across teams to gather and inspect the level and quality of messaging required to prepare a successful meeting and agenda of topics. The role will feed insights and learning back to the core partner program to support ongoing improvement and learning.

The Partner Programs team within Amazon Corporate Business Development is responsible for supporting Amazon’s most strategic partnership relationships, and for scaling partnership management excellence across all relationships managed within CorpBD. The team focuses on driving long term value for Amazon through holistic strategic partnerships with industry leading companies with whom we have shared interests, cultural compatibility, and unique potential to create enduring value for end customers. We aim to accomplish this by establishing and fostering multi-year top-to-top relationships, effective executive engagements, and driving transformational impact for Amazon, our partners, and the customers we serve.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience in partnership/BD or events and executive communications
- Strong written a communication skills, with proven track record engagement with senior executives and their administrative staff
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent
- Experience in executive communications, project management, and/or partner management
- Program Management skills and comfort building repeatable programs and mechanisms
- Experience working across business units and managing through influence
- Excellent writing/editorial skills to communicate complex issues, including the ability to write executive communications, status reports for senior executives to inform decision making.
- Self-starter who can operate independently in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment, but interested in building structure and repeatable processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
