Amazon’s Private Brands team is currently seeking a talented, dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Insight Manager based out of Seattle or London.

Private Brands is a key area of expansion for the company, and as Senior Insight Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of products and categories in a high paced, fast growth environment.

The ideal candidate will be a customer-obsessed strategic thinker and a self-starter who can design the business’ research roadmap and drive a customer centric culture in Private Brands.

As a Sr. Insights Manager, you will create and deliver the insights agenda that will lead to improved product innovations and Brand Health. You will bring the customer and marketplaces’ perspective to the processes by conducting qualitative and quantitative research on Marketplaces, Brands and Customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:
• Being the custodian of the Business’ research methodologies and insight knowledge while continuously looking for new solutions in terms of process, methodologies and analysis
• Identifying the availability and quality of the various insight sources to regularly monitor the performance of the Brands and Categories
• Performing recurrent quantitative and qualitative analysis on customers’ behaviour by segment, identifying purchasing patterns and opportunities to foster engagement, retention and spending
• Generating impactful and actionable business recommendations and insights to be shared with internal partners in order to integrate them into Top Management decisions
• Coordinate and direct the work of the external market research partners

Key job responsibilities
The candidate for this role will:
• Be methodical, analytical, objective, and goal-focused with a driving need for accuracy in attacking difficult problems.
• Understand and interpret customer and industry research data to drive conclusions that will impact the product roadmaps and brand plans
• Identify, assess, track and resolve issues and risks at multiple levels.
• Show demonstrable ability to influence senior management and interact with those from different backgrounds, levels of seniority and perspectives
• Enjoy solving problems and be an expert at crafting solutions, both strategically and tactically
• Be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, with the ability to think big while paying careful attention to detail
• Be effective in communicating with executives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
- Experience in marketing or marketing research
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
