The mission of the Amazon Payments Compliance team is to build infrastructure that enables Amazon's paying experiences and payment products to scale globally.

This role will be focused on defining the strategic, long-term vision and roadmap for this new Amazon function. This will include working closely with engineering, data science, operations, and product stakeholders, as well as other business teams, to figure out the north star, and how to get there.



Key job responsibilities
- Influence and drive technical decisions by weighing technical and business tradeoffs.
- Define the 3-year roadmap for the team, including prioritization mental model and financial implications.
- Assess the ROI of new infrastructure builds by defining use cases, and building out the business case.
- Communicate the vision, mission, and plan of the team to senior leadership.

A day in the life
You will work with engineers and data scientists to develop and execute new technologies that support both customer and seller payment experiences. You will rally support for your vision across the org, and communicate your plans to senior leadership.

About the team
This is a newly formed team within the Amazon Payments organization, focused on developing new infrastructure that accelerates development and expansion of existing businesses across Amazon globally. We are looking for a strong product leader to drive our initiatives across the company.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
