This individual will work on key projects and programs for the Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) deal team, establish best practices, build internal mechanisms for increased visibility and auditing, and drive continuous improvement to help the team scale and fuel growth. This roles requires strong program and project management experience, excellent communication skills, bias for action with clear prioritization, and an ability to thrive in ambiguity. The right candidate must work closely with internal stakeholders to invent and simplify processes that support our Sales cycles, which is critical to delivering the right business outcomes for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Define strategies, develop roadmap, and organize work streams and milestones; gain buy-in and interlock across functional leaders.
• Deliver process and productivity improvements by working closely with Sales and Operations teams. Establish tools and controls for all new processes.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with internal teams and stakeholders
• Conduct weekly metrics analysis and deliver reporting and written updates to senior leaders and stakeholders
• Serve as a key influencer in developing and auditing business strategy, monitoring key metrics and customer feedback, and leveraging learnings to deliver program and process optimizations.

About the team
The Global Deal Strategy & Programs (GDSP) organization is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS Customers benefits in exchange for commitments. Within GDSP, Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) is a specialized global deal team that engages with Customers, and partners with the field on deal strategy, structuring, and negotiations through contractual closure for transformational, strategic, large, complex, and/or highly competitive Customer opportunities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience working with Sales/Sales Operations teams
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- MBA
- Experience with technology transformation initiatives
- 6+ years of experience in Program Management, showing ability to organize tasks, prioritize competing demands, find solutions, and follow through to successful conclusions
- 6+ years of experience in process definition, having taken a process from concept to execution in large-scale, complex environments
- Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people and systems to invent, simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
